Re floods:
Yes, the man that was stuck in the grate and died was on my street. It took rescue 3 hours to get to him, and he died a further 2 hours later. I cannot help but feel guilty for being away. I would have insisted on amputation and removal if I would have been here. He would have survived.
We had a great honeymoon in Malta - they were having a really bad heatwave - degrees of 40 and above in celcius - so we spent alot of time swimming at the beach or in one of the 4 pools at the resort.
We saw some filming for a tv show or perhaps a film with that lass that plays Eileen Grimshaw - real name Sue Cleaver - from Corrie at one of the beaches - Ramla bay on Gozo Island. She was dead stuck up and full of herself. She came up and said hello to me at one point. I didn’t know who she was, but she thought everyone knew her. I don’t watch those soap operas - I feel that they cater to boring mindless housewives with nothing better to do.
I turned to Rob and said that she looked like one of those old biddies who are always trying to flog insurance on the tv ads.
I did feel for her though, they had her in lots of clothing on a very hot day - about 40 degrees, and she couldn’t even cool off in the water.
They had some nice plastic fantastic models there who were full of silicone. The staff were also trying to tell the Maltese people where they could and couldnt go on the beach and in the water - the people laughed at them and carried on their way. How pompous were they?
I have photos of it all that I will post later - and send to Heat magazine!
On a plus side, I have went down 2 dress sizes. Although I have eaten more than usual with the 2 honeymoons and the wedding, I have done alot of exercise in the last few weeks.
There will be great honeymoon photos in the gallery later, once I have sorted out the insurance stuff for the flood damage and get some sandbags in - everyone is out of stock at the moment. I am on the list for the council and have arranged to get some when MKM get a delivery today or tomorrow.
Well, here is what we have planned for our two, yes TWO honeymoons!
Honeymoon 1 - taking family to Ireland and staying in one of these beautiful beachside cottages

Then when we take them back to the airport to go back to America, we are flying to MALTA to spend some quiet quality honeymoon time together here

I am sure we will make full use of the private beach.
Then I am back in time to prepare for my new role at a new company.
Life is good. Real good.

Went to register for my wedding today, and they refused me cause I dont have the right of abode form - I have indefinite leave to remain which is legally the same thing, right to abode is only new legislation, and I refuse to pay £135 for a piece of paper.
The registrar (Witts is his name) was having none of it, we got into a huge argument, he called the Immigration Nationale Directorate, who then said we can marry and I dont need the right to abode form, but he still refused me and rang his boss, who then told him that immigration was wrong! He passed me the form, and I explained to him that he needs to brush up on the law, because he clearly does not understand it - I am legally free to marry!
Soooo, to make a long story short, they didn’t know the law, I called the office they report to, who have decided that the head office is happy for me to get registered there, and the other office (Cottingham) can fuck right off (not in those words of course)! I rang and made sure that no one from that office will be attending my ceremony either.
So, after all of the tears, and that asshole registrar telling me I cant get married (I have already paid for nearly everything) I got in touch with another registrars office who are happy to do it and told me what I need to do to file a complaint and charge him for my time (£400 an hour is the going rate).
I am off to go for my dress fitting now, hopefully I will be calmed down by then…
